UPDATE: One of four Boyd County jail escapees caught

CATLETTSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – One of four Boyd County jail escapees was caught several hours after the escape Thursday, according to a post on Boyd County’s 911 Facebook page.

Escapee Isiah Bare was found at his girlfriend’s house in Westwood and taken back into custody, according to the post on Facebook.

Boyd County Sheriff Bobby Jack Woods says the four men were reported missing Thursday morning from the detention center. He says law enforcement officers are still looking for Austin Childers, Thomas Bentley, and Joseph Salyers.

The escape from the Boyd County Detention Center came as officials investigated the facility after several problems this year, including maximum-security inmates fighting with guards and setting fire to items in August, and the escape of four inmates in July, according to the Associated Press.
