UPDATE: Old Frankfort Pike reopens after oil spill
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Old Frankfort Pike in Lexington reopened Thursday night after being closed for hours following an oil spill, according to Lexington Police.
The road reopened around 7:20 p.m., according to police.
Old Frankfort Pike was closed between South Forbes Road and Phillips Lane after a Fayette County Public School bus blew an engine spilling 12-gallons of oil on the road, according to police.
The spill happened around 4:00 p.m.
No one was hurt.
An environmental crew was called in to clean up the spill.
