Update: Names Released of Hotel Robbery Suspects
Lexington police are trying to figure out if two men who were charged with robbing three guests at the Bluegrass Extended Stay Hotel knew their alleged victims.
Officers arrested William Burgin and Troy Martin close to the hotel after the reported holdup Tuesday night.
Police received a call from another guest who said they heard the noise of a robbery and an accompanying gunshot.
When officers arrived, they were told the two men used the gun and a baseball bat to rob a woman and two other men in the room.
Although the bullet that was fired reportedly hit the wall, one of the men said he was hit in the head with the baseball bat.
Burgin and Martin allegedly left the hotel after getting the guests’ money and then arrested a short time later.
