UPDATE: Murder Victim Identified As Homeless Lexington Man

The Fayette County Coroner said Wednesday that the city’s latest murder victim was a 50-year old homeless man who died of head trauma.

The victim was identified as Brian DePreta.

Lexington Police said DePreta was punched in the head and robbed at the now closed Premier Car Wash on West New Circle Road.

DePreta’s body was found Monday evening.

Police arrested and charged Thomas Lucky, 38, Joseph Sledge, 29, and Kavion Thomas, 24, with murder and robbery.

All three suspects pleaded not guilty to the charges during their arraignment Wednesday in Fayette District Court.

Police said Theresa Jarrett, who was identified as a "person of interest" in the case, was no longer wanted.
