UPDATE: Mother Killed In Collision On Way To Child’s School

State Police said a Lincoln County mother was killed in a collision Thursday morning while driving to her child’s elementary school for a field trip.

Investigators said Jessica R. Moberly, 34, of Crab Orchard, drove into the side of a commercial vehicle at the intersection of US 150 and KY 643 around 8:00 a.m.

State Police said it didn’t appear that Moberly was wearing a seat belt. 

She was ejected from her 1992 Chevy S-10 and pronounced dead at the scene, according to investigators.

State Police said Moberly was driving north on KY 643 and collided with the other vehicle as she tried to cross US 150.

The accident remained under investigation, according to State Police.
