UPDATE: Man charged in deadly Lexington shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man has been charged in connection to a deadly shooting in Lexington July 23, 2017, according to Lexington Police.

Investigators say 23-year old Durease Richards was charged today with Facilitation to Commit Murder in the shooting death of 40-year old Tyrece Clark, of Lexington.

Police say Clark was shot at the Day’s Motel on Versailles Road shortly after 9:00 p.m. He died later at the hospital.

According to his arrest citation, Richards watched as Clark was shot then drove the other individuals involved away from the scene.

Witnesses in the area the night of the shooting told police they saw three men leave the scene in a black pickup truck.

Richards was lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.
