UPDATE: Man Accused Of Stabbing Boyfriend To Death Pleads Not Guilty

A man accused in Lexington’s first homicide of 2015, pleaded not guilty to a murder charge in Fayette District Court on Tuesday.

Lexington Police said Matthew Donaghy, 20, of Lexington, stabbed Todd Schumacher, 40, to death on Sunday.

Schumacher’s body was found in the couple’s home on Lamont Drive.

Court documents described the two as boyfriends.

Donaghy was due back in court for a preliminary hearing at 8:30 a.m. on January 28, 2015.
