UPDATE: Lexington jail escapee captured

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A jail inmate in Lexington was captured Monday night after failing to return from court-ordered work release nearly a month ago, according to the jail.

Investigators say William Houp escaped July 26, 2018.  With help from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, he was taken back into custody.

He now faces an additional charge of Escape 2nd Degree.
