UPDATE: Letcher County murder suspect captured

NEON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man wanted in connection to a Letcher County murder was found walking along a road Thursday night and was arrested without incident, according to State Police.

Investigators say 33-year old Clarence Russell Brown, of Neon, was spotted by a Trooper walking along Little Dry Creek Road in the Dry Fork community around 7:00 p.m.  The sighting followed numerous calls from concerned citizens saying that Brown was believed to be in the area.

Following his arrest, Brown was charged with Murder and Tampering with Physical Evidence, according to KSP.  He was lodged in the Letcher County Detention Center.

He’s charged in connection to the murder of 44-year old Ricky Allen Gibson, of Jackhorn.  His body was found over a hillside off Haymond Hill Road after being initially listed as a missing person April 30, 2018, according to KSP.

38-year old Clifford Caudill, of Neon, and 50-year old Dedra Keathley, of Pikeville, were arrested and charged earlier this month with Murder and Tampering with Physical Evidence in Gibson’s death.  They were lodged in the Letcher County Detention Center in Whitesburg.
