ANTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man who investigators say escaped from jail in Ohio County last month was captured Wednesday at a home in Hopkins County, according to State Police.

Investigators say 48-year old Arnold Ray McKenney, of Cromwell, was returned to jail in Ohio County.

State Police say he was in jail on various charges, including Rape and Sodomy. He now faces an additional charge of Escape 2nd Degree.

On July 30, 2017, McKenney was working in the jail kitchen when he escaped through a locked door that investigators believe had a faulty magnetic locking mechanism, according to KSP.
