UPDATE: Henry Clay Seniors Raising Money For Abused Dog

Henry Clay High School’s Senior class has announced a fundraiser to help cover the medical bills for a pit bull puppy that was chemically burned.

Called "Funds for Felicity," the teens’ goal is to raise $500 to give to the Lexington Humane Society early next week.

So far, they’ve collected $392.

Animal control officers said Felicity was found chained to a fence last month with profanity burned into her skin.

The Humane Society is hoping to perform plastic surgery on the pup to remove the scarring and to help get her ready for adoption.
