UPDATE: Fundraiser Planned For Rockcastle County Beating Victim

A yard sale fundraiser is scheduled for this Saturday, August 2, 2014, beginning at 7:00 a.m. outside American Standard in Ferguson in Pulaski County for the victim of a brutal attack.

Police said Derek Kissee was robbed, beaten and buried alive in a limestone quarry in Rockcastle County by a co-worker in mid-July.

Police said Kissee was found when two people said they heard someone moaning under a pile of rocks and sand.

He was airlifted to UK Hospital in Lexington.

Investigators charged Jason Gambrel, 30, with attempted murder.

Yard sale organizers said the money raised would go toward Kissee’s medical bills.
