UPDATE: Four Suspended UK Football Players Reinstated

Four UK football players who were suspended for last Saturday’s game against South Carolina following an on-campus BB gun incident, are available to play again in the Wildcats next game on October 11, according to Head Coach Mark Stoops.

Tymere Dubose, Stanley "Boom" Williams, Dorian Baker and Drew Barker were suspended following the reported incident on September 28, 2014.

According to court documents, the four players, along with three other people, were going to play a game called "Manhunt," in which you chase game participants around and shoot BB guns at them.

Tymere Dubose admitted to UK Police that he fired an Airsoft BB gun into the air near a residence hall on campus to see if it worked properly before starting the game, according to court documents.

As nearby students scrambled following the fired shot, the players split up into two groups and ran off, according to court documents.

UK Police said investigators recovered four Airsoft BB guns on campus following the reported incident.

The entire campus was put on lockdown the night of the reported incident.

The next morning, the four UK football players came forward and admitted they all had Airsoft BB guns and were involved in the reported incident, according to court documents.

The four players were charged with disorderly conduct, second degree, according to the Fayette County Attorney.

All four players were given a summons to appear in court in late October.

Meantime, the school said it was conducting its own investigation for the players violation of the Student Code of Conduct.

UK said BB guns were not permitted on campus and that they were considered a deadly weapon.

According to the school’s Student Code of Conduct, that could lead to expulsion. 
Due to federal student privacy laws, the school would not comment on what action, if any, would be taken against the student-athletes.
