UPDATE: Fayette superintendent candidates interviewed via Skype

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The search for Fayette County’s next superintendent is now in the ‘Skype’ interview phase. The district says it’s spoken to some candidates via video conferencing.

After the interviews are over, the school system says it will narrow the candidates down to a list of finalists. The district says a school board meeting is planned for 7:00 Saturday morning to discuss the next steps in the process.

The district announced last week that its tentative plan is to interview the finalists in-person during the week of June 22. In a recent letter to parents, Fayette County Board of Education Chair John Price spoke about that upcoming phase of the search process saying, "The schedule and format for those interviews has not yet been determined, but we will need lots of community involvement in the process. Look for more information soon."
