UPDATE: Deputies Say Hit & Run Suspect Removed Ankle Bracelet

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said a man who was wanted in a hit and run had cut off his electronic monitoring ankle bracelet.

Deputies were still searching Monday for Terry Mullins.

According to investigators, Mullins had left his home on Greenfield Lane last Friday.

Mullins was supposed to wear the monitoring bracelet at all times as part of a home incarceration order.

He was accused of hitting a 17-year-old bicyclist on September 5th, then leaving the scene.

Deputies said the victim ended up in critical condition.

The sheriff’s office said Mullins was likely in Ohio, where he had relatives.
