UPDATE: Collision forced truck into Lexington candy store

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington firefighters say a truck was pushed into a business during a collision. They say it happened Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Cramer Avenue and Walton Avenue.

According to firefighters, a Dodge pickup was on Walton headed towards Winchester Road when an SUV pulled out into the intersection. Investigators say the crash sent the pickup into Ruth Hunt Candies.

Firefighters say some passengers in the truck suffered some scratches.

As for the building, investigators say most of the damage was to the front of Ruth Hunt Candies. The windows were shattered, but firefighters say there wasn’t a lot of damage inside the store.
