UPDATE: Cassidy Twins Answer To New Sex Abuse Charges

Elderly twin brothers in Lexington, who are charged with sexually abusing young boys dating back decades, answered to a new set of charges following their recent indictment.

Jack and Jerry Cassidy were initially charged with having charged pornography.

As the investigation widened, other sex crimes against children charges were added.

The twins, 76, were in court Friday afternoon as the judge formally read their additional charges.

Police said they found several hundred images of young boys, many in sexual situations, in the twins’ home in August.

Investigators said they also found hair samples, journals, a poem book about each child and books containing logs of sexual abuse dating back to the 1960s.

Police described the records as “trophies.”

The Cassidy’s pleaded not guilty to all charges.

They’re due back in court in early December.

Their attorney didn’t want to talk with ABC 36 after court.
