UPDATE: Candlelight Vigil Held For Lexington Homicide Victim
Around 100 family and friends released balloons during a candlelight vigil Thursday night in Lexington in memory of Darnell Bates.
The tribute was held at Goo Goo Car Wash where Bates worked.
Lexington Police said he was shot and killed October 5, 2014, when two masked men broke into Bates’ home on Addie Alley and shot and killed him.
No arrests had been made.
Bates’ co-workers are raising money at the car wash to help pay for his funeral expenses.
