UPDATE: Breathitt Sheriff’s Dept. back to work after budget passes

BREATHITT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Breathitt County Sheriff’s Department is up and running again, according to Sheriff John Hollan.

Hollan says a budget was passed in court Monday with a vote of 3 to 2. He says the office is thankful for the support it has received.

Last week, Hollan announced that the department would stop operating and wouldn’t be able to pay employees because it ran out of money to pay its staff.
