UPDATE: Autopsies Scheduled For Bodies Found After Fire

Investigators said autopsies were scheduled for Tuesday for two bodies that were found after a house fire.

Kentucky State Police said the home on Grays Run Pike in Harrison County caught fire Monday morning around 9:30.

The Harrison County Coroner said one of the victims who died was a man.

But the coroner was not yet sure about the second victim because of the condition of the body.

The coroner said that the bodies had been found near an open, kitchen-living room area.

Investigators believed it was the area where the fire had started.

But the cause of the fire was unknown.

Investigators said they had not yet ruled out foul play.

"We don’t assume it’s natural, we just assume that there possibly could be some type of a foul play and if we look at it in that way we normally cross out T’s and get our I’s dotted and that’s what we try to do," said Tom Ware, Harrison County coroner.

The coroner said a dog and a cat that lived in the home were lost in the fire.

Two children who also lived in the home were already at school when the fire started.

They were placed with family members.
