UPDATE: Arrest made in shooting on Lima Dr.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – An arrest has been made after a man was shot on Lima Drive on Tuesday.

Officers were called to the 600 block of Lima Drive just after 4:00 p.m. for a report of a person shot.  When they got there, police say they found 21-year-old Omari Sweat lying in a parking lot with gunshot wounds.  He was taken to UK hospital.

Officers say during their investigation they were able to identify Codie Calderson as a suspect.  Investigators tracked Calderon down in the area of Buena Vista Road and Thunderstick Drive.  Officers arrested Calderon and say they found a firearm on him.  He was charged with assault, receiving stolen property, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  Calderon was taken to the Fayette County Detention Center.

Omari Sweat was also charged with possession of a firearm, and tampering with physical evidence for attempting to dispose of his firearm prior to officers arriving on the scene.
