UPDATE: Accused Killer Returned to Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – An accused killer was returned to Lexington Tuesday following his recent arrest in West Virginia, according to the Fayette County Sheriff.
Kevin Garcia is accused of shooting and killing 14-year old Angel Juarez Thanksgiving night.
Police say Garcia had been in an altercation with the teen’s brother and showed up at the family’s home with a gun.
Investigators say when Angel Juarez answered the door, Garcia gunned him down.
Garcia was pulled over in Putnam County, West Virginia and arrested the day after the shooting.
Published reports say Garcia is an illegal immigrant from Honduras.
He is scheduled to make his first court appearance in the case at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, in Fayette District Court before Judge Julie Goodman.
