UPDATE: Abused Dog Burned With Profanity Recovers From Surgery

An abused dog who investigators said was burned with profanity was recovering Friday from surgery.

The Lexington Humane Society took in the pit bull mix ‘Felicity’ in August after she was found tied to a fence.

Investigators said that someone had burned a curse word into her side.

The surgery on Thursday covered up part of the profanity.

A reward that was being offered for information leading to the arrest of Felicity’s abuser or abusers had grown to $3,500 as of this writing.

The humane society said that its staff was fostering Felicity and making sure she had the love and attention that she deserved.
