UPDATE: Teenager charged in reported hate crime investigation
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- There’s an update in a reported hate crime investigation at Lexington Catholic High School. The Lexington Police Department says a 17-year-old is charged with harassing communications and third-degree terroristic threatening.
According to the “Key News Journal,” the mother of an African-American student says she looked at her son’s MacBook and found some racially-offensive texts, including one that threatened to lynch him.
The school and police investigated. And the school says it talked to all students about the dangers of offensive language.
