UPDATE: One person killed in Versailles Road crash

WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Police say one person died Wednesday at the scene of a crash at Bluegrass Parkway and U.S. 60 (Versailles Road) in Woodford County.

Police say a jeep was getting off the parkway around 4:00 when the jeep crossed lanes of eastbound traffic and traveled into westbound traffic. Investigators say the jeep hit a truck.

Police say one driver was killed and the other was taken to the hospital with injuries.

The collision caused severe traffic backups. Accident reconstructionists were brought in to investigate the crash.
