UPDATE: 2 Firefighters Hurt in ALS Challenge “Improving”

Two Campbellsville Firefighters remained at a Louisville hospital three weeks after they were injured during an ice bucket challenge.

In a statement released Wednesday, Campbellsville Fire Chief Kyle Smith said Captain Tony Grider and Firefighter Alex Quinn were both improving daily.

Both men were being treated at the University of Louisville Burn Unit after they were shocked by a power line during an ice bucket challenge in August at Campbellsville University.

Although Smith said Quinn was in stable condition and in good spirits, Captain Grider remained in critical condition despite making some improvements.

The Campbellsville Fire Department asked that everyone continue to remember Tony and Alex in their thoughts and prayers.
