Police: Burglar Breaks in to business through roof

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say they are investigating an overnight break-in at Panderia Araceli’s.

According to police, the burglar made his way in through the roof. They say he improvised a ladder and crawled up to the roof. Once he made to the top of the building, he removed a vent and made his way down into the business.

Authorities say the suspect stole cash from the bakery. ABC 36 was told the burglar also tried to make his way into a business next door.

Police say there was damage to a vent on the roof above that building, but they say it was vacant. Investigators believe once the burglar looked inside and realized there was nothing inside, he left.

The bakery is located in a strip mall, but authorities think these were the only stores broken into. Police say they do have video and are reviewing it for any leads on a suspect.
