UK ranked 2nd in AP Preseason Top 25 Poll

LEXINGTON, KY (WTVQ)- The college basketball season hasn’t even began yet and the Solid Blue faithful may already have something to be upset about.

On Monday, the AP released it’s College Basketball Preseason Top 25 Poll. Kentucky was not given that number one spot. Instead, it was the Kansas Jayhawks receiving the most 1st place votes.

Kentucky sits at number two in the poll. The current rankings have the Cats playing 10 games against Top 25 foes, including five games against teams in the Top 10. That includes Kansas and Duke, who will open the season against UK at fourth in the rankings.
