UK officials ask for respectful behavior as Big Blue Madness tent city grows

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – University of Kentucky officials have released a statement to basketball fans camping out for Big Blue Madness tickets reminding them of campus policies and practices.

In the statement, the University reminds campers that UK is a tobacco-free campus, and that no alcohol or firearms are allowed on UK property.  They also remind campers that everyone on campus, “…has a right to an environment free of discrimination and harassment. Campers and members of our campus community are expected to display respect for each other at all times.”

The University says that inappropriate behavior can be reported to UK Police at 257-8573 or #UKPD from any cell phone.  Violators may be required to leave their position in line and lose access to tickets.
