UK Football team enjoys off the field activities in Orlando

ORLANDO, FL (WTVQ) – The University of Kentucky football team enjoyed some off-the-field activities Friday in and around Orlando, Florida as part of the VRBO Citrus Bowl.

The team went to Universal Studios and most of the players enjoyed the rides.

“Oh yea!  I was at Universal for a good 4-to-5 hours.  I tried to get on every ride I could,” said Kentucky Quarterback Terry Wilson.  He added that his favorite ride was “The Hulk.”

He also said that not all of his teammates enjoyed the rides as much as he did.  “Kavosiey Smoke was terrified.  I mean, he was really scared.  We had to drag him to get on all the rides with us,” Wilson said.

One of the perks of playing in the VRBO Citrus Bowl is going to go on a shopping spree at Best Buy.  Each player was given a gift card.

“I’m thinking about getting one of those virtual reality things.  You know, like shows you courtside of a game and stuff.  I think I’m going to do that,” said Kentucky Tight End C.J. Conrad.

Meantime, Linebacker Kash Daniel wasn’t in vacation-mode when talking to the media.  Here’s an example of one brief exchange with a reporter.

Reporter: “Did they have to drag you onto any of the rides?”

Daniel:  “No.  Next.”

Reporter:  “Have you gone fishing yet?”

Daniel:  “No.  Next.”

Kentucky takes on Penn State on New Year’s Day in the VRBO Citrus Bowl from Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
