UK fans dash for chance at free Big Blue Madness tickets

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — University of Kentucky basketball fans began camping out for free Big Blue Madness tickets Wednesday morning.

Hundreds of fans were lined up on Avenue of Champions  to set up their tents at 5 a.m.

They’ll stay till 10 p.m. Friday to get free tickets to Big Blue Madness — the first open practice for University of Kentucky’s Men’s and Women’s basketball teams.

A limited number of control cards will be given out on Friday at 2 p.m. to those camping out.

In a change from previous years — the control card is good for a maximum of two tickets and no more than four control cards will be given to each tent.

Big Blue Madness takes place on October 14th at Rupp Arena.

It will be aired live on the SEC network.
