UK accepting food to pay parking citations

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The University of Kentucky says food can be used to pay for parking violations for the next two weeks.

The university is holding its Donations for Citations drive to benefit its Big Blue Pantry.

From now through Friday, March 8, University of Kentucky students and employees who have a parking citation can settle the citation by donating food or personal care items.

Donations can be delivered to the UK Transportation Services’ main office, located at 721 Press Avenue.

A table will also be set up in the Gatton Student Center from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, for those who would like to drop off donations there.

This year, the food drive is being expanded to allow anyone in the community to participate.
