Uber to launch statewide in Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Uber has announced it will expand throughout Kentucky starting Wednesday.

Uber currently operates in Louisville, Lexington, and Bowling Green, but says the expansion will bring the rideshare app to suburban and rural communities across the state.

The company says it will be looking for more drivers to cover the new communities it will now be serving.

Uber also announced it is teaming up with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) to help promote safe rides home and prevent alcohol-impaired driving fatalities in Kentucky this holiday season.
