Two-Year Old Girl From Amber Alert Found Safe

An Amber Alert has been cancelled for a Bullit County toddler.

Two-year-old Jaylynn Maxey of Shepherdsville was found safe late last night. After a pursuit involving the little girl’s father and State Police.
Maxey was taken by her father… Joshua Yeager and Police say they had a reason to believe she could be in danger.

According to police Yeager was spotted driving on I-65 near Upton at 11-26 and they began a pursuit that led them to US 31.

It was there police put out tire deflation devices and blew out the tires on the car. Maxey was found unharmed in the car and Yeager was taken into custody. He is in the Hardin County Detention Center booked on more than half of a dozen charges.

A couple of those charges are endangering the welfare of a minor and wanton endangerment of a police

Tuesday Night

On Tuesday, October 8, 2013, Kentucky State Police issued an Amber Alert for Jaylynn Maxey, 2, of Shepherdsville, who authorities believe may be in danger.

Maxey is black with brown hair and brown eyes.  She is believed to be 3’2" and 37-pounds. 

She was last seen wearing a black and pink tank top with a swirled design, white sandals and a pull-up. 

She could also be wearing a white and yellow polka-dot top with white pants with ruffles.

Investigators said Maxey may have been illegally taken by her non-custodial father, Joshua Yeager, 24, who is described as white, 6’1", 185-pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. 

He also has a full sleeve tattoo on his right arm with a Chinese symbol on the left side of his neck.

He was last seen wearing a green t-shirt with a logo over the breast and green plaid shorts.

Authorities said Yeager may be driving a 2000 Maroon Ford Taurus with a New Jersey plate:  VHM20Z.  The hood is painted with a black-gray primer.

Authorities did not know a possible direction of travel, but that Yeager may have family in Indiana.
