Fire truck and cement mixer collide
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Friday afternoon rush hour traffic was snarled in Franklin County when a Harrods cement mixer collided with a fire truck that was making an emergency run at the time, according to the Franklin County Sheriff. The collision happened near the intersection of US 60 and I-64 at Versailles and Chenault Road’s.
Two Franklin County firefighters were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to investigators. The cement mixer driver was not hurt.
The road was initially closed, but had reopened by early evening.
The accident is under investigation.
