Two teens killed in Hardin County crash

HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two teens were killed after a police chase ended in a crash in Hardin County.

State police say the chase started in Meade County when officers and deputies tried to stop the Chevy Silverado 36 year old Shawn Welsh was driving.

Troopers say Welsh crashed into a Honda Accord at the intersection of US 31 West and Battle Training Road.

According to KSP 18 year old Jacob Barber from Elizabethtown, who was driving the Honda, and a 17 year old passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other young passengers were taken to Norton Children’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Welsh and his passenger 36 year old Laura Neville are in custody.
