Two streets closed in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two streets in Lexington were partially closed Friday due to the Newtown Pike Extension project, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. The partial closures are in effect for DeRoode Street and Merino Street. DeRoode street is located between South Broadway and Valley Avenue. Merino Street is between Maxwell and DeRoode Streets.

The sections are expected to remain closed throughout the duration of the project. The anticipated completion date for the project is August 1, 2017, according to the state.
