Two Separate Shootings in Lexington Wednesday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police are investigating two separate shootings Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators say a man was shot in the hip around 3:00 p.m. near Price Avenue and Delcamp Drive. Police say the victim admitted he was shot during a drug deal. They say the man had nine open warrants at the time of the shooting. His name wasn’t released.

Police say around 6:00 p.m., a man was dropped-off at Good Samaritan Hospital suffering from gunshot wounds to his stomach and arm. Police say he was transferred to UK Hospital. His name wasn’t released.

Investigators say they’re trying to determine the location of the second shooting and the circumstances surrounding it. They say the victim wasn’t cooperative.
