Two officers named Wildlife Officers of the Year for 2019, 2020

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – The official honors may have been delayed for months by the COVID pandemic but the appreciation for their service hasn’t diminished.

The United Bowhunters of Kentucky presented its annual Kentucky Fisheries and Wildlife officers of the year honors during Friday’s meeting the the Fish and Wildlife Commission.

The 2019 award went to Christian Casper who works in the department’s Third District covering Jefferson, Shelby, Spencer, Meade, Oldham and Bullitt counties.

The 2020 award went to Bobby Owens from the Seventh District which covers Breathitt, Floyd, Johnson, Knott, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, Perry and Pike counties.
