Two men struck when crossing Winchester Road
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington police say two people were taken to the hospital after being hit by a car Saturday evening.
Police say they got the call just before 6:30 PM for an car verse pedestrian accident on Winchester Road near the intersection of Strader Road.
Police tell ABC 36 that two men attempted to cross the street without using a crosswalk when they were hit by a car.
Both were taken to the hospital with significant but non-life threatening injuries.
The roadway was shut down for a period of time while police worked to clear the scene.
Officers determined the driver was sober and that person currently is not facing any charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
