Two men shot in Lexington, several cars hit by bullets

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say two men were shot and several cars ended up with bullet holes in them after a shooting Friday afternoon.

Police say the men were shot by someone in a car on Fifth Street at Hawkins Avenue around 4:40 p.m.

Investigators say it’s unclear if the shooting victims were in a car or on the street.

No names were released.  Both men were taken in a personal car to UK Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Investigators say they don’t have much of a description of the suspect’s car and aren’t getting much information from the two shooting victims.

Police say no other injuries were reported.

Investigators are trying to determine what led up to the shootings.
