Two Magoffin Co. men dead following an accident

MAGOFFIN COUNTY, Ky. – Two men from Eastern Kentucky are dead following an accident in Tennessee Wednesday.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, 22-year-old Jared Helton and 30-year-old Justin Stafford were killed after being hit while working in a construction zone along a highway in Tennessee.

Tennessee State Highway Patrol says the two were laying down reflectors on the interstate when they were hit by a tractor trailer.

Police are still trying to determine if the semi-truck driver will face charges.
