Two Hyden men involved in Leslie County shooting
HYDEN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A shooting early Wednesday morning between two Hyden men in Leslie County will be presented to a grand jury for review.
According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers in Hazard received a call at about 7:15 a.m. Wednesday of a shooting at the Shell gas station in the Hyden community.
Initial investigation indicates 54-year-old Gordon D. Bussell and 58-year-old Gary W. Howard got into a physical altercation, troopers said in a statement.
Howard pulled a gun and shot Bussell in the torso, troopers stated. Bussell was airlifted to be treated for gunshot wounds.
The KSP said no charges have been filed on either man and the case will be presented to the Leslie County Grand Jury.
This incident remains under investigation by Detective Eric Caldwell.
