Two Backpacks Lead To Four Arrests In Knox County Meth Case

State Police said two backpacks led to four arrests in a methamphetamine case in Knox County.

Investigators said on October 20, 2014, a state trooper made a traffic stop on a pickup truck on Standard Avenue in Corbin.

State Police said as the trooper approached the pickup, he noticed two backpacks in the bed of the truck.

The trooper said upon further investigation, it was discovered that the backpacks were full of items to manufacture methamphetamine.

State Police said four people in the pickup were arrested on drug and other charges and taken to the Knox County Detention Center.

The people arrested were:

  • Brian S. Smith, 32, of Corbin (Driver of the pickup truck)
  • Casey M. Smith, 33, of Woodbine
  • Pamela S. Hensley, 31, of Corbin
  • Anthony W. Martin, 27, of Corbin

State Police said the case remained under investigation.
