Two arrests, pepper-spray used during large disturbance in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – There was a large disorder with arrests Friday night in the parking lot of the Signature Club on Lansdowne Drive in Lexington, according to police.
Police say the facility was rented out for a private party. Officers say when they arrived, there was an estimated 40 people involved in a disturbance.
Police say some of the people were aggressive toward police and pepper spray was used. Investigators say they don’t know yet if police sprayed the pepper spray or if it was used by the facility’s security officers.
Police say two adults were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. No names were released.
Investigators say no officers were injured.
Police say they remained on the scene after the incident to make sure order was kept and to determine what led to the disturbance.
