Two arrested on meth charges in Whitley Co.
WHITLEY CO., Ky. (WTVQ) – The Whitley Co. Sheriff says two people were arrested on Thursday, November 19 after they found a meth lab in a home on Mt. Ash Pike.
The Sheriff says they received information at the department about someone manufacturing meth. When deputies when to the home, they say they could smell a chemical odor associated with the manufacture of meth. Investigators say they were given permission to search the home, where they say they found one active meth lab, along with numerous baggies containing what appeared to be meth.
45-year-old Robert Adkins and 39-year-old Deanna Adkins were arrested at the home. They were each charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were taken to the Whitley Co. Detention Center.
Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement and Special Investigations members disposed of the meth lab.
