Two arrested in identity theft case

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two people are accused of using a computer to steal $7,500 from someone in an identity theft case, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say 21-year old Dustin Dewayne Lewis and 20-year old Destiny Bullard, both of Corbin, were arrested Monday afternoon in London. They were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

Investigators say to two reportedly used a computer to change information and steal the identity of the reported victim and transfer money into their account.

Deputies say more arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
