Two arrested on credit card fraud charges

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two Detroit men have been arrested in Lexington for credit card fraud.

Police say Michael Betty III and Marlo Ellis Jr. stole personal information, including credit card information, from multiple victims.

They were arrested on Thursday at the Macy’s at Fayette Mall, where police say they were attempting to purchase gift cards with stolen credit cards.

Police also say they had information stored on a phone of stolen information, including names, addresses, and credit card information.

Betty III and Ellis Jr. are facing charges of fraudulent use of a credit card, unlawful use of a computer, and trafficking financial information.

They are both scheduled to appear in court Friday afternoon.
