UPDATE: Ferrari, other collectible cars damaged in truck fire

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – A truck fire Monday night on I-75 southbound damaged collectible cars, including a new Ferrari, and a vintage Corvette and a Mercedes.
According to the Richmond Fire Department, the truck suffered a mechanical issue with the read axle. The driver spotted sparks come from the rear of the trailer and tried to get off the interstate but only was able to get as far as the Duncannon Road off ramp before flames started coming from the trailer.
The fire department did not know the owner of the trailer or the cars.

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – Traffic will be impacted for those heading southbound on I-75 as fire crews work the scene of a truck fire.
According to the Richmond Fire Department, a call came in around 1:37 p.m. of a truck fire on the off ramp of the 83 exit, also known as the Duncannon exit.
Responders arrived to the scene and got the fire under control. The crews are still present to clean everything up and watch out for hot spots. As of now, the cargo the truck was hauling is not known, the owner of the truck is unknown and the cause of the fire is to be determined.
As authorities wait for a wrecker to come haul the truck, drivers should expect a minimal traffic impact for a period of time.
