Truck Driver Accused Of Kidnapping KY Teens

A commercial truck driver was arrested in Ohio and charged with kidnapping for allegedly taking two Kentucky teenagers.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said they received a call Saturday from an employee working at a rest area on Interstate 75 that a 17-year-old girl reported being released by a man who kidnapped her.
She said she had been held for several days and that another female was still being held.
Troopers located the suspect’s truck on Interstate 75 near milepost 98 in Shelby County, Ohio and found the second missing juvenile, a 16-year-old female, in the vehicle.
Troopers said 30-year-old Darien Lakeith McKinley of Stonebridge, Georgia was charged with kidnapping and booked into the Wood County Jail.
Authorities said they are investigating the kidnapping as a possible case of human trafficking and federal charges are possible.
According to court records, the girls were from Louisville and McKinley recently moved to Louisville.
It’s not clear how they ended up with McKinley.
